A small boy taking a walk picks up a little line he finds lying on the sidewalk. Putting it in his pocket, he forgets about it entirely. Then the line starts to move – it’s alive! It’s the start of a long, shared adventure. The little line grows up with the boy and becomes his friend. It takes on all kinds of shapes that reflect life’s many emotional nuances. It’s magical! And though the line sometimes gives the boy a hard time and sulks or even hides, it also helps him, encourages and rescues him, surprises and makes him laugh.

Antoine Robert has a Bachelor degree in Applied Art. He combined his passions for drawing and the cinema and attended the Supinfocom School in order to learn how to make animated films. He was a co-producer in various projects. He worked as an animator for several films, TV stations, exhibitions and museums. In 2015 he became a member of the classification board for CNC films.

There is an endless amount of things to be discovered. It is only the approaching morning that can abruptly end the adventures of the night. But there will soon be another night.

Falk Schuster exploits a large variety of animation techniques. Among his creations are free animation films as well as mixed media films and commissioned productions. In 2012 his film ‘Ast mit Last’ (Branch with a burden) received the award for the best German animation film at the DOK Leipzig. Since 2014 he has been teaching at the Art College in Halle and at the HFF Munich. Falk Schuster lives and works in Halle/Saale.

Askar Nurakun uulu was born on December 14, 1990 in the Talas region, Kyrgyzstan. He graduated from the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Faculty of Communications and Film. He is director and cinematographer of the film production studio Aitysh Film. He has worked in the film industry for more than 8 years. Film “In Love with Cinema” is his debut as a director.

Sergei Ryabov was born in 1977 in Schelkovo, Russian Federation. In 1995 Ryabov has finished the Moscow Art-College and has received the first profession – artist-jeweller. 1995-2001 he studied in the Gerasimov All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (workshop of Sergey Alimov) where has made a student animation film “Home alone” (2,5 min.). Having defended the diploma (theme was “Pinocchio”), he had worked as an animator for some years in different studios of Moscow.

Roman Sokolov was born in Obninsk, Russia, in 1976. He studied at the philosophical faculty of the teacher-training university of St. Petersburg and did a post-graduate course in methods of teaching art. He wrote a Ph.D. thesis on the topic ‘Posters as a part of the training of teachers of art’. He worked at the ‘Melnitsa’ animation studio as an animator, layouter and character designer.
