It is a gloomy house in which a little girl makes a violin out of paper to soften the bitter grimaces that live with her with her devoted playing. But they reach for her with bony fingers. When she tries to escape, she falls down and is defencelessly at the mercy of them and the evil wolf.

On the eighth day (au huitième jour), Genesis is expanded to include the Anthropocene. There's a pig. A contented pig with a socket nose. And lo and behold: there's even electricity. It can be used to boil water, listen to music or power an electric blanket. With a distributor, the pig's electricity can be used anywhere, which is why the entire animal kingdom can soon enjoy the fabulous benefits of the snoozing bundle of energy. Now everything could be fine ... But what actually happens if you don't look after your pig?

Jorn Leeuwerink (19th of July, 1990, Wormer, NETHERLANDS) tells seemingly sweet fables about serious themes, with dark humor and a playful visual style. His graduation short 'Flower Found!' was included in the prestigious Animation Show of Shows, selected for 70+ festivals (a.o. Annecy, Zagreb and Hiroshima) and won 17 prizes. ‘Pig’ marks his professional debut. Besides directing animation, he co-founded and curates the annual Fluxus Animation Festival.

Heat, summer, country life. Mischa is a lorry driver who is constantly on the road transporting grain from distant villages. His wife Yenya misses the togetherness with her husband. When Mischa comes home and immediately starts tinkering with the lorry, she demands time together, love and attention. The dark summer night is so beautiful, and time to just be together is running out.

Anastasiia`s films have participated in many Russian and foreign film festivals and received prizes, for example at Reggio Film Festival, Olympia IFF for Children and Young People etc.

Astrid Busch, born 1968 in Homburg/Saar, is head of the BA Film & Sound programme at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. She has a degree in the Film/TV programme. She has been teaching as a university lecturer at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts since 2000. In addition to her full-time work as a film lecturer, she realises smaller experimental film works as director and cinematographer.

The city is grey. Dad is bright blue. And one day he stands on the windowsill and simply flies away. All the little dodo has left of him is a feather. He crawls back into his mother's womb, where it is red and yellow. After a long time he comes out again. It has turned completely orange and now flies away towards the sun.

YI LUO, aka Yinfinity, comes from China and has lived in Germany since 2007. She graduated from the Animation Institute of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2021. In addition to making animated films, she also works as an illustrator, comic author and teaches design at Animationsinstitut.
