Day 4 of the 20th PROVINZIALE
With “Adieu Savage”, Sergio Guataquira Sarmiento presented a gently warm documentary for which he received extremely warm applause. In a long audience discussion, we talked to him about his self-image as a filmmaker and the necessity of humour in sadness. Kirill Sultanov (short fiction film “May 2000”) and Varya Yakovleva (animation “Vanlav”) also presented their work in Eberswalde. Jens Georg and Moritz Berg (“Scheißwetter”) talked to us in the festival club about coming and staying – the classic question between province and metropolis.
