Opening night – concert with Rotatonics Trio
Marie-Elsa Drelon, Carsten Wegener and Detlef Tegelow came together in Berlin because of their shared passion for the music of the Italian composer Nino Rota. With a versatile instrumentation (piano, organ, e-guitar, harmonica, lapsteel, musical saw and drums) they play film music as well as tango and classical music.

Tuesday October 11, 2022 at 10:00 p.m
In block 8 of the competition (on Tuesday, October 11 at 8 p.m.), the long documentary film Auf a cup of coffee with the Stasi by Johanna Pohland will be shown. He offers unusual perspectives on the 1989 turnaround in Frankfurt/Oder and asks questions about the present. The director is present and will then talk to festival director Kenneth Anders about her film and how her own understanding of society has changed as a result of the debate.

On Saturday October 8th at 8 p.m. we will show the short documentary film Ann’s Pub.
Unfortunately, the producer Frank Matter can only come to the festival later. That’s why we’re showing the film again in the festival shed and then having a film talk.

In Eberswalde, Shmaltz have created a large fan base over the years through their many performances. The quintet invites you to the island of Malwonia they brought with them to celebrate, sing, dance, with a smile on their face, the rhythm in their blood and maybe the last days of the film festival week in their heads…
