Artemis Anastasiadou is a screenwriter and director from Thessaloniki, Greece. She studied Drama and Theatre Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Film Directing at Austin University of Texas. Her work focuses on female characters, exploring their hidden emotional landscapes as well as transformations of experiences of violence. "To Vancouver" is her first short film shot in rural Greece, where she worked in a small community on the island of Evoia with lay actors, embracing local folklore and reality in her narrative.

A young woman and her older brother from the Bunong people spend a last day in their village in north-east Cambodia. They are moving to the capital, Phnom Penh, hoping to find a better life there. It is a step into the future that first will take them back into the past one last time. A film about the deprivation of having to cope with the disappearance of one's own landscape.

Polen Ly paused his studies in medicine to pursue a filmmaking career in 2012. He has since directed several shorts and documentaries which explore social issues related to the environment, human rights as well as LGBT+ and indigenous experiences. "Further and Further Away" received the SEA-Shorts grant from Singapore International Film Festival. He is currently in the early production stage of his first full-length documentary, "The Tongue of Water".

Vibol and his brother Kea sell noodles in the streets of Phnom Penh every night. It is not uncommon for them to be threatened by gangsters or muggers, people who are often their only customers. While everyone is trying to improve their livelihoods, people like Vibol and Kea seem to be excluded from the city's rapid development.

Chanrado Sok explores the relationship of media, public opinion and freedom of expression. After high school, he chose to study film and work at Bophana Center, the audiovisual resource organization founded by filmmaker Rithy Panh. He also took courses in filmmaking and photography at Institut Français in Phnom Penh. He has primarily worked as a documentary filmmaker. Kongkea Vann graduated with a degree in film from the department of cinema at Pnom Penh School of Media in 2016. He worked as a camera assistant in various international projects and is now among the most sought-after directors of photography for feature films, short films and TV commercials in his country. "Sound of the Night" (2021) was his first short film as co-director and cinematographer where he could shape his artistic approach further than just in the field of technician.

He then worked for eight years as an assistant director on films by Jacques Audiard, Volker Schlöndorff and Pierre Salvadori. His own works include "Les dimanches de Jean Dézert" (2018) and "Un enfant" (2020).

Esteban Garcia Garzon is a Colombian film director, writer and actor. He studied philosophy at Andes University of Colombia and film at New York Film Academy of Los Angeles, USA. Always concerned with social and indigenous topics, Esteban has worked as director on various shorts films and documentaries such as "Atarraya" (2018) and "Taita Querubín and the Soul of Ayawaska" (2016). He is currently post-producing his first feature film, to be released in 2022.

He produced some thirty shorts and several feature films such as "Much Loved" by Nabil Ayouch and "Volubilis" by Faouzi Bensaïdi.

Léo Deschênes took to the cinema very early as a young actor in several films ("Quelque-chose de mal" by Namir Abdel-Messeh, "The blind fields" by Nicolas Lasnibat). After graduating from high school, his political commitment led him to the Institute for Political Studies in Lille and finally brought him back to his first love. His first short film, "Lola", was made in 2019. At the same time, he continued his studies with a Master's degree in audiovisual production. He is currently working on his first feature film.

After graduating from Autonomous University of Barcelona, Eloy Dominguez Serén started his career as a film critic and co-founder of the magazine "A cuarta parede". He served on the Youth Jury of the Venice Film Festival. In 2011 he moved to Stockholm, where he directed two short films, "Pettring" and "No Novo Céio", followed by many others. His first feature film, "Hamada", premiered in 2018 and won several awards. "Rompente" is his latest work.

Silvia Subirós studierte Drehbuch und Filmregie und schloss mit einem Master in Creative Documentary ab. Ihr erster abendfüllender Dokumentarfilm „The Festival of Lies“ gewann den Docs in Progress Award bei Visions du Réel. Sie interessiert sich für die Beziehung zwischen experimentellem Kino und Musik und hat audio-visuelle Installationen für die Ausstellung „Das Land der Köche“ im Empordà-Museum geschaffen. Gerade hat sie ihren zweiten Dokumentarfilm „The Men's Kitchen“ fertiggestellt. Florence Aliberti studierte Film in Buenos Aires und Philosophie an der Universität Barcelona und hat einen Master-Abschluss in Contemporary Cinema and Audiovisual Studies. Sie arbeitet als Produzentin und Redakteurin im Bereich Dokumentar- und Experimentalkino und hat ebenfalls an verschiedenen Ausstellungen mitgewirkt, zum Beispiel „Byte Footage“ (Buenos Aires), „Genealogías feministas del arte español“ und zuletzt „Viral Mural“ (Buenos Aires, 2019).

Roman Chernikov was born in Karaganda, Russia, in 1992. In 2015 he graduated from the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research (KIMEP). In 2020 he completed a university course in scriptwriting and film direction. "Nina" is his short film debut.
