PREMIERE Youth Film Afternoon – 3 PM
The Provinziale Sunday begins with a youth film afternoon – SEHquenz e.V. shows – with the support of the Ostdeutsche Sparkassenstiftung and Sparkasse Barnim – selected works from the current youth film project “FILMKNACK” and other productions of youth film work in Brandenburg such as bilderbewegen e.V. in the Uckermark, the Medienwerkstatt Potsdam and the Oderbruchmuseum Altranft.
PREMIERE “POLIZEIRUF 110:WASSERWEGE” – 5.30 PM
Filming took place from 10 April to 14 May 2024 at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, the Niederfinow boat lift and the harbour. Other filming locations included Hohensaaten, Potsdam and Berlin.
Afterwards, there will be a film discussion and a reception in the festival bar. The event is part of a co-operation between rbb and the Initiative Filmland Brandenburg.
TELL THEM ABOUT US – 8.30 PM
DOCUMENTARY FILM
At the end of the day, the documentary TELL THEM ABOUT US will be shown at the start of its cinema tour. The film about young girls and women from Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan, about their fates and dreams (and how they encounter reality) is also set in Eberswalde.

This year’s short films in our children’s film programme at Guten Morgen Eberswalde will appeal to our youngest guests in particular. This year they will see a flying whale, sour sweets, a robot bee, a sloth, a flying competition, what it’s like to be a big sister and a dangerous tiger that has no fear.
