GENERAL EVENTS 2023

Together we will open the 20th PROVINZIALE – Filmfest Eberswalde in this year’s Haus Schwärztal with three films in the short film categories.

In the second block of the opening evening we will show them the 90-minute documentary film:

TOLYQYN – Jazz in Afro Style

Roland Satterwhite’s musical trio TOLYQYN (viola, guitar, drums) will accompany the opening night and play at 10pm in the Festival Club. The band crosses genres and combines jazz harmonies, Afro-Cuban rhythms, Ghanaian highlife groove as well as other genres.

Prizes worth 13,000 euros will be awarded at the ceremony. After the reception, guests can decide whether they want to watch a selection of the award-winning films in the auditorium or celebrate together and listen to music in the festival club.

Skazka-Orchestr & Band (Ska, Klemzmer, Jazz & Techno

The band Skazka Orchestra does us the honour at the end of the 20th PROVINCIALE and will make us dance. Musically, Skazka Orchestra is boundless, whatever is fun is allowed, from ska to klezmer, jazz to techno. The mix of first-class accordion and drums, virtuoso trumpet, groovy trombone and the swinging double bass, as well as their multilingual lyrics, gives the band its rousing sound.
